At Waterford Woodworking I build furniture using traditional methods of woodworking that were used 100-200 years ago. My joinery includes dovetailing, pinned mortise and tenoning, frame and floating panels construction, and others. The finish I use is a hand rubbed oil and wax finish.
I build with solid, first quality hardwoods such as cherry. I hand select my wood for its color and grain.
All my standard furniture designs can be modified. I primarily offer custom building to meet your specifications.
My shop is located in a portion of a 32' x 120' post and beam barn I designed and built when I went into business in 1989, which connects to our 1790 Federal period home.
My showroom, located above my shop, shows a number of dining tables, beds, dressers, desks, and occasional tables available for immediate pickup or delivery.
I am a home-based business, so chances are good that you will find the Showroom "open" and me available to show you around and answer your questions. Feel free to call ahead or email me for an appointment if you prefer.
